JA offers diverse, hands-on programming that educates students on the basics of business, financial literacy and work readiness.
Volunteers are integral to JA's work. Your commitment could vary from one half day session to weekly evening meetings over many weeks depending on the program you choose.
Since 1990, Junior Achievement has recognized and honoured entrepreneurs who have inspired others through their investment and success in business and community. The Junior Achievement Newfoundland and Labrador Business Hall of Fame Gala is JA’s signature fundraiser, supporting work that focuses on the development of financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship for youth. We are excited to announce the three 2024 inductees to the JA Newfoundland and Labrador Business Hall of Fame. The inductees are Charlene Brophy, Kevin King, and Peter Woodward.
The annual JA Curling Funspiel, originally scheduled for March 8th, has been postponed to March 22nd.

Over a 21 week period, JA’s Company Program teaches grade 10-12 students how to organize and operate a real business. Volunteers from the local business community work with students to launch and run a small enterprise. This gives students the real-world skills and experience that they need to achieve their dreams of becoming entrepreneurs.
