We are excited to announce that the 30th class of inductees will be welcomed into the JA Newfoundland and Labrador Business Hall of Fame on May 18th, 2022. After the cancellation of the gala in 2020 and the uncertainty that followed, we are thrilled to be able to celebrate with the inductees, their families and the greater JA and business community in person.

This year’s inductees have all shown great entrepreneurial spirit and effective community and business leadership in their remarkable careers. They also act as excellent role models for the next generation of entrepreneurs and leaders in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Cathy Bennett is an accomplished entrepreneur, board director and consultant who has been having a positive impact on the business community for over 30 years. She has served on the boards of publicly traded, privately held and crown corporations in addition to building her own company from a small group of service businesses to operations in commercial and industrial construction, industrial manufacturing, human resource support, service, retail, industrial supply and real estate investments and operations.

Aubrey and Reginald Budgell are successful entrepreneurs with a passion for community giving and support of small and remote communities in the province. The brothers have had their hand in many industries over the years, growing their small construction company into a multimillion-dollar business as well as running businesses in the mining and sports retail sectors.

Brendan Brothers, Jamie King and Raymond Pretty have made a major impact in the fraud detection and anti-money laundering business since starting Verafin in 2003. The three Memorial University graduates grew the business from the ground up, now a publicly traded, industry leader serving over 3000 banks and credit unions in North America. Their focus on positive company culture and giving back to their community is exemplary.

We are look forward to honouring these inductees next spring and having the opportunity to connect with new and familiar faces in the JA community once again.
